Bryde's whales playing in the sea amazes tourists
Two Bryde's whales were spotted playing in the sea, leaving tourists in awe.
Sakda Yasawut and his friends watched the playful interaction between the two whales in the middle of the ocean at Ao Bang Saen Beach in Chonburi, Thailand, on October 14.
Footage shows the sea creatures splashing water at each other as a flock of birds flies overhead.
Sakda said: 'It was an up-close encounter, and they are huge. I was a bit terrified, but they're fun to watch.'
Bryde's whales are an endangered species, classified as Nationally Critical in New Zealand. The subspecies in the Gulf of Mexico is one of the most endangered whale populations in the world, with fewer than 100 individuals remaining.
