A little girl burst into tears when she saw sliced vegetables inside her Christmas gift bag as a prank from her uncle.

Footage shows the youngster Faith tearing into the tote given by her mum's younger sibling Jayrom in Manila, the Philippines, on December 24.

However, the kid was devastated when she found squash, okra, and beans packed in plastic. Faith cried even louder when Jayrom gave her shrimp paste to complete the dish.

Uncle Jayrom quickly handed her the real gift which Faith ripped open to reveal a Barbie doll.

Relative Jam Latoga said: 'We exchanged gifts and Jayrom thought of doing a prank. She was given vegetable and shrimp paste.

'She was disappointed, especially because she doesn't like shrimp pase, but in the end, she was happy to receive her real gift, which was the mermaid doll.'
