STORYLINE:
The Ajloun Forest Reserve is located within the highlands of Ajloun Governorate in northwest Jordan.
Established by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) in an area of around 12 square kilometers, the nature reserve contains a series of winding valleys and has an elevation that ranges between 600-1100 meters above sea level.

"Ajloun Forest Reserve is one of the reserves affiliated with the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature. The reserve was established in 1987 with the aim of protecting the prevailing forest pattern in Ajloun, which is the evergreen oak forest.
Ajloun Forest Reserve has a large number of plants and flowers found in the region, with more than 570 species of plants and more than 100 species of animals that live in the region.
In Ajloun Forest Reserve, there is a special program to protect forests. We have a special inspection department that conducts continuous tours around the forest and protects it."
The reserve is now also a unique destination for tourists to enjoy nature and biodiversity.
