Footage has emerged from China of firefighters rescuing a three-year-old boy with his head stuck in the sun roof of a car.

The video, captured in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on April 17, shows the toddler's head completely stuck in the roof, while police and firefighters use tools to try and free him.

According to local reports, when the boy put his head out of the sun roof to "take in the scenery", he pressed the switch by mistake and it closed. Then, the sun roof broke and trapped him there.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured and he was freed after half-an-hour or so.

Firefighters used hat to protect the boy and rescued him after half an hour by breaking the sun roof.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured.
