India - December 30, 2024 In the village of Kotputli, Rajasthan, a three-year-old girl has endured a terrifying ordeal, spending more than eight days trapped in a 200-meter-deep well without water or food. The child, extremely weak, is being assisted by rescuers who are supplying oxygen through a tube and monitoring her condition via a video camera, according to the Daily Mail. Rescue efforts have been fraught with challenges, including heavy rains that have slowed progress. Initially, the excavation was conducted manually over the first three days. Subsequently, specialized equipment, including a piling machine and an excavator, was brought in to dig a tunnel. The operation continues as rescuers work tirelessly to save the girl.
