US, Los Angeles: Wilmington Overturned Semi Prompts Hazmat Response
Los Angeles, United States - December 27, 2024 12/27/2024 12:15 am (GMT-0800) WILMINGTON, LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to a report of an overturned semi on the on-ramp of the northbound 110 Freeway and the 1300 block of West Harry Bridges Boulevard. Crews arrived to find one container truck on its side leaking an unknown substance. LAFD Hazmat responded and investigated the substance, which was determined to be a juice concentrate, not a hazardous substance. The driver of the truck was evaluated at the scene but was not transported to a hospital. CHP closed the area while crews worked to clean the mess and upright the truck.
