US: Winter Blast Hits Utah Canyons: Traction Devices Mandatory
Utah, United States - December 26, 2024 The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has issued a winter advisory for SR-190 and SR-210 as snow intensifies through December 26. Drivers are urged to plan ahead and prepare for challenging conditions, with traction devices required for travel. Snow flurries are expected around 5 a.m., increasing after 8 a.m., with heavier snowfall predicted from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Upper canyon roads could see 3-6 inches of accumulation, making driving hazardous. Road conditions range from wet and slushy in lower sections to snow-packed in upper stretches, particularly above White Pine (MP 9), where slick spots are prevalent.
