A Tesla Cybertruck exploded in a suspected terror attack outside Trump Tower in Las Vegas early Wednesday morning.

Dramatic footage by eyewitness Chris Saad shows a plume of smoke engulfing the area outside the hotel on January 1.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze and secure the area.

At least one person was reportedly killed, and seven others were confirmed wounded following the incident.

Authorities said fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel were believed to be connected to a detonation system controlled by the driver of the Cybertruck.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that the company is actively investigating the matter.

He said: 'The whole Tesla senior team is investigating this matter right now. We've never seen anything like this.

'The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack.'

Musk supported President-elect Donald Trump's candidacy and was appointed to co-lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.
