Wheatfield, United States - December 29, 2024 A dramatic rescue unfolded Sunday afternoon after a car flipped on its roof and landed in a water-filled ditch along Cayuga Drive. Niagara County Sheriff's deputies rushed to the scene, finding a 2009 Honda Fit submerged with the driver trapped inside. Deputies swiftly broke the rear passenger side window to rescue the driver, 40-year-old Robert Prange, who was stuck and in need of immediate help. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. An investigation later determined that Prange was allegedly under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash, leading to charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs.
