Horgos Port, a major railway hub in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has facilitated 8,730 China-Europe freight train trips in 2024, up 12.5 percent year on year, according to local customs.
The volume of goods transported through the port exceeded 12 million tonnes, marking a year-on-year increase of 10.9 percent.
The port has maintained an average of over 22 daily China-Europe freight train trips, with increased exports of daily supplies, electromechanical equipment, electronic products, and agricultural produce to markets in Central Asia and Europe.
There are 85 freight train lines passing through the port, linking 46 cities and regions in 18 countries.
