University student tries to walk through driving typhoon wind
This is the terrifying moment a university student tried to walk through a driving typhoon wind.
Footage shows Ms Li attempting to walk against the severe windstorm to head to her dormitory amid Typhoon Connie in Fujian, China on November 1.
She took a few steps before crouching down to prevent herself from being swept away by the gusts.
Moments later, a group of men saw her struggling, which caused one of them to help her stand up.
Local reports said that residents experienced heavy rainfall from the evening of October 31 to November 1, with precipitation reaching 120 to 180 millimetres and winds as high as 140 mph, causing flash floods in various areas of the city.
Authorities reported deploying officials to assist and manage residents during the typhoon.
Typhoon Connie brought the heaviest November rainfall since 1981 in the country.
