Alashankou Port, a major railway hub in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, handled 7,684 China-Europe freight train trips in 2024, up 15.8 percent year on year, according to the railway authorities.

Alashankou Port operates 123 China-Europe railway lines, which are connected to 21 countries and regions including Germany and Poland.

The port has handled an average of 21 China-Europe freight train trips daily, with increased exports of daily supplies, electromechanical equipment, and electronic products to markets in Central Asia and Europe.
