A snake leviathan was caught in a family's ceiling in Thailand.

A rescue animal team retrieved the massive reticulated python hiding inside the ceiling in Sungai Kolok, Narathiwat, on January 2.

Footage shows the reptile slithering through the gaps, attempting to dodge the men.

This prompted the authorities to cut through the ceiling and use an animal pole catcher to capture the predator.

After managing to catch the animal, they pulled it out of the roof forcefully and carried it out of the house.

They later released it back into the wild, away from residential areas.

Pythons are nonvenomous constrictors that prey on rodents, birds, lizards, and mammals. They lack venomous fangs and consume their prey whole by swallowing it.
