US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Carquest Building Fully Involved in Flames
Bakersfield, United States - December 31, 2024 12/31/2024 05:50 am (GMT-0800) BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Just before 6 a.m. Tuesday, the Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Fire Department dispatched to the area of Union Avenue and 1st for reports of the recently abandoned Carquest building on fire. The first engine on the scene requested a second-alarm reinforced commercial structure fire with heavy flames and smoke coming from the building. The cause of the building fire is under investigation by Bakersfield Fire Department Arson units.
