US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Fatal Fiery Crash Into Tree
Bakersfield, United States - January 04, 2025 01/04/2025 11:11 pm (GMT-0800) BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A fatal vehicle crash occurred late Saturday night on the southbound lanes of Highway 99, about a mile south of Highway 223. The crash, reported at 11:11 p.m., involved a vehicle colliding with a tree, briefly igniting both the vehicle and nearby brush. Kern County Fire Department responded to the scene to handle medical and fire-related efforts. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. No road closures were reported following the incident. Initial reports indicate the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No information has been confirmed at this time.
