Palm Coast, United States - January 04, 2025 A dramatic incident unfolded on January 4 when Deputy Christopher Murphy struck 38-year-old Michael McDermott with his patrol car as he fled on a bicycle. McDermott, who was later found to be armed with a 9mm Ruger firearm, was ejected from the bike after the deputy made the quick decision to hit him with the vehicle. The suspect was arrested without further incident and faces multiple charges, including assaulting an officer and possession of a firearm by a felon.
