A 1-million-kilowatt wind power project has been successfully connected to the national power grid in Mulei County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The project installed 124 wind turbines and it's expected to generate 2.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity every year, reducing coal consumption by 0.83 million tonnes and carbon emissions by 2.29 million tonnes
