On January 6, at a subway station construction site in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, a bulk cement truck was pumping cement into a storage silo when excessive pressure on the top of the silo caused it to crack. A large amount of cement dust erupted outward, creating a massive cloud that blanketed nearby roads, vehicles, and pedestrians. The incident was captured on a dashcam.

The video shows chaos at the site, with multiple pedestrians covered in cement dust, turning them into "mud people." A nearby fruit shop suffered severe losses, as all the fruit inside was coated with cement dust, making it unsellable.

The incident also left vehicles and roads covered in cement dust, blocking traffic and disrupting normal operations.

After the accident, Hangzhou Metro Group promptly activated an emergency response plan, mobilizing relevant teams to the scene. Rescue workers used specialized equipment to seal the cracked cement silo and prevent further dust dispersal. Meanwhile, sanitation workers and volunteers joined the cleanup efforts.

Thanks to the coordinated response of multiple departments, the site was quickly cleared, and traffic resumed normal operations.

Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident, though it caused temporary inconvenience to the surrounding environment and pedestrians.
