A Status Yellow Snow-Ice Warning has been issued for Ireland, alerting the public to wintry showers that will lead to additional snow accumulation, hazardous travel conditions, poor visibility, and potential disruptions. The warning remains in effect until noon on Tuesday.

Authorities have confirmed that schools in areas including Carlow, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, and Tipperary remain closed following the Christmas break due to significant snowfall.
