Locals enjoyed the winter weather after a massive weekend storm that battered the city, bringing blizzard conditions.

Footage shows individuals sledding through downtown streets. One of them even brought their dog, Rupert, who seemed unimpressed, outside for a walk.

Local media reported that due to the severe weather conditions from the past few days, businesses shut down and roads became impassable.

The storm reportedly brought wind gusts of up to 40 mph, leaving at least four fatalities in Missouri and Kansas and dozens injured, mostly in vehicle accidents.

The National Weather Service said that 11 inches of snowfall is Kansas City's fourth-largest single-day accumulation and the most significant blizzard in three decades.

As the city begins digging out, officials urge residents to stay cautious and limit travel.
