Shocking visuals have emerged from the BP Angadi mosque offering event in Tirur, Malappuram, where an elephant lost control and wreaked havoc late last night.
Around 12:30 a.m., the elephant went on a rampage, lifting a person and violently throwing him to the ground. The victim sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
Panic erupted among the gathered crowd, with people scrambling to safety. In the ensuing chaos, 23 others were injured.
This offering event, an annual tradition, was marred by the incident, leaving many in shock and raising concerns over the use of elephants in such gatherings.
