STORYLINE:

The fifth edition of Katara International Exhibition for Kahraman (amber) opened Tuesday in Qatar's capital of Doha.

The exhibition highlights the diverse applications of amber in jewelry, alternative medicine, perfume, and artworks including amber "paintings." Raw amber stones are also featured at the event.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): ISA RASHID, Seller at exhibition
"My name is Isa Rashid from Bahrain under Palace Company. So this one is my second time in Katara. Last year, I was here, and we will share our experience in amber. We have more than 20 to 25 years of experience in amber. So we brought something very unique to Qatar to share it with the collectors."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): MARCIN BUZALSKI, Seller at exhibition
"My name is Marcin Buzalski. I come from Poland with our famous Tibuki brand. We are coming every year to Qatar, to Katara Kahraman Exhibition. And we are bringing something different than the people know here about amber. Not rosaries, but women's accessories. Slowly, year by year, this market is developing here, and we are trying hard every year. So far, we are happy about that."

SOUNDBITE 3 (English): BIAN WENJIE, Seller at exhibition
"Hello, everyone. I am from China. It's the second time I come to this exhibition. Some people from the Middle East and maybe Europe come to this exhibition to buy and sell some amber piece stones. I think this exhibition is very good for me and other sellers."
