US, Los Angeles: Pacific Palisades Palisades Fire Continues Burning Into Morning Part 8

Los Angeles, United States - January 08, 2025 01/08/2025 03:20 am (GMT-0800) PACIFIC PALISADES, LOS ANGELES — A fast-moving brush fire burned at least 2,900 acres of land and several homes in the Pacific Palisades area of the city of Los Angeles as of Tuesday evening. Key News Network video shows flames consuming additional structures along Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard. The fire was first reported at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday near Palisades Drive and Calle Victoria. Firefighters from several Southern California agencies have responded to the area. At 3:30 p.m., Tuesday the fire was at 1,261 acres burned, with evacuation orders in place. Per CHP West Valley, the following road closures were in place: Southbound Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) at Las Flores Canyon Road, southbound PCH at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Coastline Drive and southbound PCH. More than 100 vehicles are reported abandoned, making Sunset Boulevard impassable. Winds are due to increase late afternoon and into Tuesday night. The Key News Network locations for the video in this report were in the 17200 block of West Sunset Boulevard.
