Buenos Aires, Argentina - September 25, 2024 Country risk is quoted at 578 points, the lowest value since August 2018, at the start of trading on Monday, due to a new increase in Argentine bonds after learning of the signing of the REPO for US$1,000 million with five international banks. Argentine bonds are encouraged by the certainty of payment of the next due date and the guarantee that Argentina will also have the necessary funds to meet future obligations. Argentine stocks and bonds start the week with a firm bullish tone, both on the Buenos Aires stock exchange and on Wall Street. In this context, the S&P Merval climbs 1.3% in pesos, and advances 1.5% in dollars to 2,339 points, a new historical record. The shares that rose the most during the day were Telecom, which climbed 5.7%, followed by Transportadora de Gas del Norte, with +5.2%, and Central Puerto y Comercial del Plata (COME), both with an increase of 4.4%. Meanwhile, Metrogas, which was one of the stars of the stock market in recent months, fell 4%.
