Los Angeles, United States - January 07, 2025 On January 7, X user Kyle Zink shared alarming footage showing power lines sparking against trees in a Los Angeles backyard, raising concerns over delayed emergency responses. Zink reported that both he and his neighbor had been trying to contact 911 and the fire department for 45 minutes with no response, as advised by the power company. When they finally reached fire officials, they were told to “call if something actually catches on fire.” By the end of the video, ash was visible in the air, highlighting the danger. Despite repeated requests for the power company to cut electricity to prevent further risk, Zink claimed they refused. "This city is failing us," he wrote, as tensions over emergency response delays mounted amid the ongoing hazard.
