US: Monument to the Suffrage of Women in Tennessee
United States - December 28, 2024 The Woman Suffrage Memorial statue honors Lizzie Crozier French, Anne Dallas Dudley and Elizabeth Avery Meriwether, Tennessee civil rights pioneers who fought for the passage of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote in 1920. Located in Parque Centenário, close to Nashville's emblematic building, the Partenón. The monument was dedicated on August 26, 2016, Women's Equality Day, and was commissioned by Tennessee Woman Suffrage Monument Inc.
