In a shocking incident on January 5th in Akola, Maharashtra, a bar owner narrowly escaped being burned alive after a drunken customer attempted to set him on fire. The chilling attack, which occurred at a liquor shop under the jurisdiction of the Pinjar police station, was captured on CCTV, sparking widespread concern in the area.

The bar owner, Ankit Jaiswal, displayed remarkable quick thinking and alertness to save himself from the life-threatening attack. The accused, Ram Wankhede, reportedly an alcohol addict, became enraged after a dispute over payment. Following a heated argument, Wankhede left the bar, only to return the next day with a plastic bag filled with petrol.

CCTV footage shows Wankhede pouring petrol on Jaiswal and attempting to ignite it with a matchstick. Fortunately, Jaiswal's swift response averted the tragedy.

The incident has raised serious concerns about public safety and the effects of alcohol addiction. Police are investigating the matter, and locals are urging stricter measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
