Stunning 58-metre-long ice sculpture of dragon stuns locals in China
Recently, a breathtaking ice sculpture of a giant dragon has appeared in Nanhu Park, Changchun City, Jilin Province. Measuring 58 meters long and 4 meters wide, the ice dragon's lifelike design and majestic stance have captivated countless locals and tourists, becoming a standout winter attraction in the park.
The ice dragon features a proud, imposing head, a sinuous, winding body, and powerful claws. Its overall posture gives the impression of a dragon ready to soar out of the water. Under the sunlight, the dragon's meticulously carved scales glimmer with clarity, leaving spectators in awe.
This magnificent sculpture was crafted by a professional team over 10 days. The artisans used techniques such as chiseling and stacking ice to bring the dragon to life. The head, in particular, required stacking ice blocks to achieve its elevated and dynamic posture, resulting in an extraordinarily vivid appearance.
Zhang Xiaofei, the snow slide project manager at Nanhu Park, explained that creating such a majestic and lifelike ice dragon aimed to offer visitors a stunning ice and snow spectacle, showcasing the beauty of ice art during winter. The dragon also symbolizes prosperity, happiness, and health, adding a touch of cultural charm to Changchun's winter season.
