High-wire acrobat conquers skyline over valley in China
This is the thrilling moment a high-wire acrobat conquered a skyline over a valley in China.
Footage shows the daring tightrope walker, equipped with safety gear, balancing himself as he crosses the rope in Shanghai on January 21.
The extreme sports fanatic can be seen walking on the slackline. However, he slipped mid-performance, almost falling, but due to his flexibility, he managed to grab the rope in time and briefly sit on it before continuing the stunt.
The performance concluded successfully without any incidents, leaving spectators both thrilled and relieved.
French acrobat Charles Blondin was the first person to walk on a tightrope across Niagara Falls in 1859. He crossed the 270-foot-high Niagara Falls on a 3-inch hemp cord while blindfolded, on stilts, and even while pushing a wheelbarrow.
