This is the hilarious moment an escaped cow dragged a policeman along a highway in China.

Two cops were spotted chasing the agitated bovine along the roadside in Haidong, Qinghai, on November 9.

Footage captured by Mr Ye shows the animal bolting away as the men held onto its rope in an attempt to restrain it.

However, one officer was pulled along, running to keep up, while his colleague was thrown to the ground.

A local running after them stopped to check on the policeman to see if he was okay.

Mr Ye said: 'At the time, I was on the highway, and there was a traffic jam up ahead. It was so boring that I picked up my phone to record. I was really shocked the moment the cow charged out, and even more surprised when the police appeared. Later, when one of the officers fell, I felt a bit sorry for them—they're doing this for the people.'
