Los Angeles, United States - January 13, 2025 The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is playing a vital role in the ongoing response to the Palisades and Eaton fires in Los Angeles County. Since the fires began, San Bernardino crews have been working around the clock, providing critical support to emergency operations. The district has deployed three strike team leaders, three Type 1 fire engines, one Type 6 brush patrol, one hand crew, and USAR Regional Task Force 6. While firefighting units are actively engaged in combating the flames, the USAR team is conducting wide area searches for casualties. The San Bernardino County Fire Department remains fully staffed and prepared to respond to all emergencies as the fires continue to threaten the region.
