STORYLINE:
Thirteen topside modules for the P79 Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel were delivered on Sunday in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province.
The modules were built by China's Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC), an engineering unit of China National Offshore Oil Corporation(CNOOC).
The P79 project was commissioned by Brazil's state-controlled oil and gas giant Petrobras.
With a length of 345.3 meters, a width of 60 meters, and a maximum displacement of 400,000 metric tonnes, the P79 FPSO ranks among the largest FPSOs in the world.
The vessel is set to operate at a depth of more than 2,000 meters in the Buzios oilfield in Brazil.
