A shocked housewife found a mystery object hovering in the night sky in Thailand.

Ping, 50, was drinking beer in her garden when she noticed the bizarre object lingering in the sky over Pattaya City on January 11.

Footage shows the faint lights flickering in different spots near the Soi Siam Country Club housing estate.

Ping, a self-proclaimed UFO enthusiast, said the mystery lights appeared in the direction of the Khao Noi area.

She said: 'It's strange. It was definitely not an aeroplane or a drone. I couldn't see it clearly because my camera can only zoom in so much.

'What struck me as strange is that the lights were shifting in a pattern, flashing back and forth but not flying anywhere. If it's a UFO, that's great. I can say that I have seen one with my own eyes. I really want it to be a UFO.'

Other locals believe the lights may have been drones, or kites fitted with LEDs.
