A shocked diner claimed to have found a cockroach in her Krispy Kreme drink in the Philippines.

Antonio ordered an iced drink from the American doughnut and coffee chain when she allegedly felt something hard at the bottom in Manila on November 7.

When she checked what it was, Antonion said she was disgusted to find the large dead bug swimming under frothy milk.

Footage shows the almost finished drink as Antonio swirled it with a plastic straw, revealing the roach.

Antonio said: 'Throughout this process, I've felt unheard and unsupported.

'I have no intention of tarnishing the company's name if I share my experience.

'My goal is simply to remind others to check their drinks first, so they don't end up in my shoes.

'However, I hope it's also clear how dissatisfied I've been with how everything was handled.'

Antonio added that the store had told her the cockroaches had not come from their establishment.

She said: 'I am absolutely certain the lid was never opened. I can swear on that. This entire experience has given me bad anxiety. I panic every time I recall it.'

The dissatisfied customer added she had filed a complaint to the Department of Trade and Industry and the city's sanitation office.

Authorities have visited the store where the cockroach-infused drink was allegedly ordered, and an investigation is ongoing.
