US: Firefighters Halt Forward Progress of Auto Fire in Ventura County, 55.7 Acres Burned
Ventura County, CA, USA - January 13, 2025 Firefighters have successfully stopped the forward progress of the Auto Fire, which has scorched 55.7 acres in Ventura County. Fire crews from Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD), Ventura City Fire, Oxnard Fire, and Federal Fire Ventura County are still on scene, working to extinguish hotspots and increase containment. Despite the fire's rapid spread, it was confined to the river bottom and no structures were threatened. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Firefighters continue their efforts to fully contain the blaze, which is currently at 0% containment.
