US: SpaceX Successfully Launches 131 Satellites on Transporter 12 Rideshare Mission

United States - January 14, 2025 SpaceX has successfully launched its Transporter 12 mission, sending 131 satellites into orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base today. The launch occurred during a 27-minute window starting at 1:49 p.m. EST (10:49 a.m. local time) and was broadcast live via X. The mission included a variety of payloads from multiple customers, with San Francisco-based Planet contributing 37 satellites, including their SuperDove cubesats and the advanced Pelican-2 satellite. The rocket's first stage made a successful landing back at Vandenberg about 7.5 minutes after liftoff. This marks the 12th flight in SpaceX’s Transporter series, which has launched more than 1,100 payloads to date.
