Firemen battled flames from a wildfire outbreak in Ventura County, California.

The blaze erupted on January 13 at around 7:45 pm in the river bottom off North Ventura Boulevard, prompting a response from the Ventura County Fire Department, Ventura City Fire, and Oxnard Fire.

A team of 75 volunteers deployed four water-dropping aircraft, including a Chinook and a Sikorsky Sea King.

The latest brush fire comes as Southern California is already grappling with the Palisades Fire.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag warning and reported that the Santa Ana winds, averaging between 20 and 30 miles per hour, are intensifying the fire.

Local golf courses, with many ponds, are also being affected by the frequent water drops from choppers.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
