Walking leaf stuns Chinese viewers
On November 19, 2023, in Harbin, located in northeastern China’s Heilongjiang province, a mesmerizing video captured a small yellow leaf moving along a quiet road.
The leaf appeared to walk purposefully, stopping and starting as if imbued with life. It eventually made its way into nearby grass, scuttling like a crab.
Some Chinese viewers likened it to a tiny spirit pretending to be a leaf to avoid human detection, while others explained it might actually be a "walking leaf insect," a species of insect that uses its leaf-like appearance as camouflage.
