A restaurant has hired a dedicated chef just to make mozzarella sticks after they went viral on TikTok - and they were inundated with diners.

The Winchester, Costa Adeje, Tenerife, Spain, has been serving the €9.95 cheesy treats for YEARS.

But after a video of a couple trying them - and doing a 'cheese pull' - went viral in May 2023 people started to flock to the restaurant.

Now, people will travel to the restaurant from miles away - and from all over the world - to try the dish, film themselves pulling the sticks to stretch the cheese, to post on their own TikTok.

Some say they are "worth the cost of the flight alone"."

Due to the popularity of the mozzarella sticks, the restaurant has a chef dedicated to making them who goes through "kilos and kilos" of mozzarella every day."

Grace Gonzalez and her boyfriend, Nathan Davis, both 21, flew out to Tenerife in December and headed to the restaurant just to try the stick on January 1.

Grace, a content creator and influencer, from Newcastle, said: "We went last week and every single person in the restaurant had ordered them."

"They bread the mozzarella in a panko bread crumb which makes them so crispy on the outside."

"When you crack them open you need to do it whilst it is hot to get the cheese pull which is incredible."

"It is the best mozzarella I have ever had, I would rate them 100 out of 10 if I could."

"We get them with sweet chilli mayo and it is to die for."
