US: FedEx Truck Spins Out on Icy Nebraska Road as Deputy Runs for Safety
Palmyra, United States - January 12, 2025 Dramatic dash cam footage released by the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) shows a FedEx truck driver losing control on an icy stretch of Highway 2 near Palmyra on Sunday, January 12. The video, captured while a deputy was already on scene assisting with a prior semi-truck crash, reveals the truck sliding uncontrollably as the deputy runs for safety. "Things got a little hectic with the ice on Highway 2 near Palmyra on Sunday," the sheriff's office stated. "As the deputy ran for his life, he'd like to remind everyone to drive cautiously during hazardous weather conditions." Despite the dangerous skid, the truck driver managed to regain control, avoiding further incidents. The sheriff's office praised the driver's handling of the situation, calling it an "excellent recovery."
