Father cheers on son during ice fishing adventure to spear northern pike in Minnesota
Spearfishing is anything but easy, and this video shows a dad-and-son duo being reminded of the same.
"My son Corbin, age 9, and I were out spearing northern pike and whitefish on the ice in northern Minnesota," Donnie shared with WooGlobe. "This northern pike was approximately 36 inches but unfortunately got off the spear and got away. In the hole are decoys used to attract the pike so we can spear them."
Even though Donnie's son wasn't successful in securing the pike, the fact that he got very close to doing so should motivate him to try even harder next time. After all, what is a triumphant journey without a few missteps along the way?
