Thailand - January 15, 2025 Bangkok and many parts of Thailand are suffering from dangerous air pollution, as levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) have reached harmful thresholds. Authorities have advised residents to wear masks and limit outdoor activities to minimise health risks. Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt attributed the worsening air quality to vehicle emissions, construction activities, crop burning and stagnant air, which together have caused severe smog across the city.
