Response teams brought the Pamo Fire under control in California.

Dramatic footage shows the aftermath of the blaze, with smoke still rising on January 14.

Authorities reported that the fire broke out early on Tuesday, around 6:30 am, near the intersection of Pamo and West Haverford Roads in Ramona, quickly spreading across four acres of land.

Initial reports suggested the fire reached approximately 10 acres before it was extinguished the same day.

At least one structure was threatened, but no significant damage was reported.

Cal Fire and San Diego County Fire crews continued working on-site to reinforce control lines and address additional risks.

The fire's cause was reportedly linked to smoking.

The latest blaze follows ongoing wildfires in Southern California, including the Palisades and Eaton fires.

Officials confirmed that more than 5,000 structures were destroyed in the Eaton Fire, while the Palisades Fire has burned over 5,300. As of January 15, authorities reported 25 deaths associated with these deadly wildfires in the state.
