The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas has been met with gratitude in Yemen, where many are praying for peace and stability in the region.

"From the street in the capital Sanaa, all the locals express their happiness and deep joy over the announcement of reaching an agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, after about 15 months of war. Yemeni people are thankful that the war in Gaza has stopped and hope for this truce to be adhered to and that life returns to normal as it was before the war. Yemenis as well as the Gazan people have the feeling of thanking the international efforts for doing their best and reaching the ceasefire deal that will end the war, protect civilians, and facilitate humanitarian aid."

"I am deeply pleased to welcome the ceasefire in Palestine, in Gaza, and I sincerely hope this truce endures permanently.
