Bohai South Operating Company, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) Tianjin Branch, surpassed an oil and gas equivalent output of 10 million tons in 2024. This accounts for more than one-fourth of the total output from the Bohai Oilfield, China's largest offshore crude oil production base.
The company manages 14 oil and gas fields.
Bohai South Operating Company now becomes only the second company in the Bohai area, along with Liaodong Operating Company, to surpass an annual equivalent output of 10 million tons. It has produced over 100 million tons of oil and gas equivalent output since 1989, when its first Bozhong 28-1 oil and gas field was commissioned.
