Zagreb, Croatia - January 12, 2025 Some 6,700 polling stations opened Sunday in Croatia, where 3.8 million voters will choose the head of state between President Zoran Milanovic, supported by the center-left opposition, and Andrej Plenkovic, candidate of the conservative HDZ. Milanovic, with 49 percent of the vote, and Primorac, with 19 percent, were the top two vote-getters among the eight candidates who ran in the first round of these elections two weeks ago.
