Orlando, United States - January 15, 2025 [Note: no sound] An 83-year-old woman was violently robbed of her lottery winnings just moments after collecting them from a store in Orlando on January 15, 2025. Authorities say the suspect, later identified as Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury, grabbed the woman’s winnings—approximately $200—after she walked out of the store on Curry Ford Road. Surveillance footage shows the suspect approaching the woman, violently taking her money as she made her way to her car. Despite an attempt by another man to stop the robbery, Fleury struck the woman, causing her to fall to the ground. Fleury managed to flee with the cash, but was arrested the following morning. He faces multiple charges, including robbery and battery on a person aged 65 or older.
