This is the spectacular moment Kilauea Volcano spewed lava fountains as it continued to erupt in Hawaii.

Dramatic video shows the fiery red geysers bursting from the ground on January 16.

The United States Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said the molten fountains reached up to 330ft from the north vent and 160ft from the south vent.

The lava was not expected to pose a hazard to homes or infrastructure.

Kilauea is the world's most active volcanic mass and is the central feature of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Its caldera is nearly three miles long and two miles wide, with an area of more than four square miles.
