China has kicked off this year's chunyun, the annual Spring Festival travel rush.

For Zhang Jie, a chief conductor at China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd., this year marks the 28th chunyun of her career.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): ZHANG JIE, Chief conductor, China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd.
"When we reach the next station, the station staff will come to assist you. I'll also come over to help you off the train, so there's no need to worry."

For Zhang, this year's Spring Festival travel season is both routine and profoundly meaningful.

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): ZHANG JIE, Chief conductor, China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd.
"Since joining the railway, it's been over 20 years -- from working on regular-speed trains to high-speed ones, and from being a train attendant to becoming a chief conductor. This year marks my last Spring Festival travel rush in service, and I want to work hard on my last shift and bring it to a perfect close."

Over the years, Zhang has witnessed the remarkable development of China's railway system.

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): ZHANG JIE, Chief conductor, China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd.
"In the past, we used a notebook to check tickets, which was inconvenient and inefficient. Now, with handheld ticket-checking devices, all passenger information is readily available. This greatly improves our efficiency."

While advancements in technology have significantly enhanced Zhang's work efficiency, her unwavering passion for serving passengers remains unchanged.

SOUNDBITE 4 (Chinese): ZHANG JIE, Chief conductor, China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd.
"Watch your step. Please keep moving inside after boarding."

SOUNDBITE 5 (Chinese): ZHANG JIE and Passenger
"At which station will you be getting off?
Wenzhou South Railway Station.
You just boarded, right?
Yes.
Okay, your seat is 5A."

SOUNDBITE 6 (Chinese): ZHANG JIE, Chief conductor, China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd.
"The annual Spring Festival travel rush has begun, and the road home is warm. I wish everyone a joyful journey and a safe return home."
