SOUNDBITE (German): MICHAEL BORCHMANN, Former head of the European and International Affairs Department of the federal German state of Hesse
"When it comes to Chinese economic development, I often have to smile,
because the forecasts for China made by international organizations are always quite low.
And this time too. You have to increase it to around 5 percent, last year's economic growth, after previously estimating it to be much lower.
Apart from that, this 5 percent is a great value.
And at a high level, it's even more difficult to continue to be successful.
So I think China's economic growth will be between 4 and 5 percent in 2025, which is a very good value.
I'm very confident about that."
